Noah Freedman gained a BSc in Electrical Engineering at the Imperial College of Science and Technology and is a Chartered Engineer. He began his working career at El Hama Instruments, developing instrumentation for electrochemical analysis originating from the Technion, Haifa. He then moved to Tadiran Israel Electronic Industries to lead the development of automated test systems for HF and VHF military radio systems.

In 1984, Noah joined Crosfield Electronics, where he managed R&D teams and departments developing image processing and scanning systems for pre-press applications. Later he moved to PA Consulting Group, eventually becoming a partner there, where he managed or executed a range of different development and consultancy projects on behalf of PA's clients.

From PA, Noah joined WestLB Panmure as an analyst, concentrating on project origination in Corporate Finance and Research to support primary issues. In 1999, Noah co-founded Brainspark plc, an incubator for technology-based start-ups. His primary roles were identification and selection of investment targets, and venture management on behalf of Brainspark. He was a Director of Brainspark plc until its sale, and a Non-executive Director of several of Brainspark's investee companies.
