SICM Technology
Ionscope's breakthrough technology, differential mode SICM, was developed by a team at Imperial College London and Cambridge University, and enables the ICnano® scanning ion conductance microscope to map surface topography at high-resolution without making contact with the sample. This makes SICM ideal for scanning soft and living targets. Scanning may be performed by moving either the pipette or the sample. The ICNano® from Ionscope can also be used for a variety of hybrid techniques¹, for a full description refer to the Applications section.
